Four weeks

Wow! Four weeks ago, I was holding a newborn blessing in my arms. Christmas has taken on a whole new meaning for me this year.  I appreciate on a deeper level what the GIFT of Christmas must have cost the Father.  I've never understood a parents love until now.  I can't imagine giving up my son for a world that wouldn't care, for people who would turn a blind eye and a deaf ear, much less for a future that included a cross.  And then to realize it wasn't an accident, but it was the Father's plan all along~ awesome and incredible love!
Back to Bentley~ he has managed to make his Mommy and Daddy fall even more in love with him, if that's even possible! He is alert for longer periods of time and responds to our voices. He is thinking about smiling every now and then; can't wait to see his beautiful, full-blown smile.  We've had a lot of 'firsts' since I posted last...first full bath (which he loved...at least he didn't cry and to me that means 'love' :)), took his first tri-rail ride, visited Gary and Betts in Ft. Lauderdale, and spent Christmas Day with his extended Sechrest family.
If I were extreemly organized,  I would post the pic from most recent to earliest.  But, since blogspot gives me fits, the pics are in random order, for the most part, until I figure it out.  So, since a picture says a thousand words, I'll stop here and let the pictures do the talking...and no, we arn't proud  parents at all!

Just after his first full bath

All dressed up and ready to go!
