Bentley Charles Emmit Sechrest

November 30
5:45 AM  Water broke at home without any warning; no pain, not contractions~ only what I thought were Braxton Hicks.   I kept thinking "my water could have broken at work and I'd have had no warning!"
6:46  Contractions still were not noticable; dilated to 1, began Pitocin
12:30PM Dilated to 4; nurse administered Stadol ~thank Heaven!
1:30PM  EPIDURAL!!!  I will never 'go natural' again!  What an enjoyable (albiet boring, waiting for the time to pass) experience!
7PM Dialated to 8
9PM Fully dialated and effaced~ just waiting for 'the urge'
My nurse, Joan, in her wisdom kept increasing the Pitocin to help the baby move down, rather than having me push for 3 hours!  As long as baby handeled it well, this was the plan.
11:30 Pushed throught about 5 contractions.  Joan told me to breath through the rest, or the baby would beat the Dr. here!

12:34 PM  after 3 pushes, Bentley Charles Emmitt was born into this world.  ~so tiny!
