It is customary at our church during a baby dedication for the parents to choose a Bible Verse for their child. Reading in Duetronomy several weeks back, I began highlighting concepts and lessons I wanted to teach my little one. Then I found a verse..his verse.
Duet. 30:19 "..I (Jehovah) have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now CHOOSE LIFE, so that you...may LIVE, and that you may LOVE the LORD your God, LISTEN to His voice and HOLD FAST to Him, for the LORD is your LIFE...."
That's his verse, and I pray God enables me to teach him to choose life in every situation, to love the Lord, to listen to his voice and to hold fast to Jesus. The best way to teach is by example. My mother (and grandparents) taught me this concept through their life, by God's grace it intend to do the same.
