So Big!

Bentley is now seven, going on eight weeks old.  He has gained 3 lbs, better him than me, in the last month and grown 1 1/2 inches!  I'm curious to see what he will weigh when we go back on Feb 10!
He is alert for longer periods of time during the day, but thankfully, he still knows it's time to sleep at night, even if he is up every 3 to 4 hours, he goes right back down after a clean diaper and a full tummy!
He is smiling alot more, cooing and tracking. He's flipped from tummy to back; he's a grunter and scooter!  He's finally fitting into most of his newborn - 3 month clothes and is a lot of fun to dress up :) We love watching everything he does and are constantly amamzed at the wonder he has brought into our life! He certainly is our pride and joy!  We laughingly say he was God's suprise~ as suprise is something that you never knew how much you wanted it unil you had it....well, God can suprise us any time!

In the midst of feedings, laundry, and cleaning; I'm working on getting some kind of personal schedule for myself and my work from home job.  I'm not sure if it'll get easier or more difficult as Bentley grows, but whatever happens, I'm sure I'll grow with it!  I think it's time to start setting my alarm!

Tony is doing well at Mayer and God is blessing his work.  During this difficult economic time, we keep reminding ourselves that job security is in God and our employment is not based on the whims and needs of some executives and their budget needs, but on the designs of a Soverign God. He is Owner and Provider.

Pastor David is focusing us this year on developing a Passion for God.  I know for me this means sacrificing some things in order to spend more time with God.  I find it easier to sleep, clean or do a number of things that need done during that time I had set aside for God.  My prayer is that God will increase my hunger and passion for Him.

So, for my family and friends who are interested, here are some pics from the last several weeks of our little guy. Every night I find myself thanking God for my healthy and happy family. I still can't believe I'm a Momma!

People are always asking who Bentley looks like... you tell me. This is baby Tony...not sure how old he is...2 mo. maybe?

  1. He's definitely a Davolt! :>) And you have to be careful with one piece outfits, especially. I always thought - surely they aren't THAT big! But by the time you get them in it, they fill it up! I can tell you're enjoying your little man - makes my heart so happy for you and Tony :>)
